HOLIDAY LIGHTS: 兼职学生 University welcomed patrons to enjoy a CNY holiday tradition, Lights On The Lake at Onondaga Lake Park. Another Upstate night is set for Dec. 12.

TOYLAND: Results of the Lights on the Lake and Galaxy Media 5K run reaped dozens of toy donations to Upstate Golisano Children鈥檚 Hospital. The gifts will be distributed to children hospitalized during the holiday season.

NIGHT LIGHTS: The Weiskotten Hall courtyard is aglow in December.

INJURY PREVENTION OUTREACH: Syracuse Corporation Counsel Susan Katzoff, left, presents a proclamation from the City of Syracuse declaring Nov. 18 as Upstate Goes Green for Injury Prevention Day. A BLACKWELL FIRST: New signage outside of Weiskotten Hall celebrates 兼职学生 University鈥檚 title as the first coed medical school in the nation. This January will be the 175th anniversary of Elizabeth Blackwell earning her medical degree. Blackwell graduated from Geneva College of Medicine, which today is 兼职学生 University.

FACE OFF: Joe Batista, RN, an adult hematology oncology nurse with the Upstate Cancer Center, is at center ice for the ceremonial puck drop for the Syracuse Crunch 鈥淪hine a Light鈥� on lung cancer night Nov. 4 at 兼职学生 University Arena. Batista was aided on the puck drop by his 2 year-old son, Anthony.

GOOD SAMARITANS: Upstate Emerging Leaders United members took part in serving breakfast at Syracuse鈥檚 Samaritan Center during a recent outreach event. Serving up the hot breakfasts are, from left, Renae Rokicki, Matthew Capogreco, Scott Neal, Bill Tan, Elizabeth Drescher and Bobbie Jo Massena. The Samaritan Center provides hot meals daily to anyone who is hungry.
